Propylene Glycol is a non- toxic alternative to ethylene glycol. Propylene glycol is an effective replacement for ehylene glycol where possible contact with potable water and/or food could occur. PG 503 Propylene Glycol, Inhibited Concentrate. PG 503 is a buffered and inhibited propylene glycol concentrate used to prevent corrosion of both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. When diluted 50% with water, a minimum nitrite concentration of 1500 mg/L will develop.
